Joanna Jagow
Joanna Jagow grew up half the year living in Fairbanks and half the year at her parent’s remote trap line cabin on the Porcupine River where they lived a subsistence lifestyle of hunting, fishing and trapping. In high school she bought her very first sled dog and had her first litter of pups. In 2016, she finished a nursing degree and currently works at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital inpatient pediatrics. Over the past six years she's enjoyed competing in mid-distance races from Percy DeWolfe in Dawson to Kuskokwim 300 in Bethel. Her dogs come from a mix of Mackey, Kleedehn and Cadzow lines that she's raised since pups. Joanna and her team are excited to finally experience the Iditorod trail!
