Travis Beals, 27, was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. “I ran my first sled dog race at four years old,” he says. “I’ve always wanted to run Iditarod.” In 2013 that dream came true. In Seward, he operates tours. He and his partner, Sarah Stokey, both ran the Iditarod last year. Travis enjoys flying helicopters, fishing, hiking and the outdoors.
